Don’t think you should all be without anger all the time. When you have a control over it then it is healthy and you are okay

Anger happens to everyone at some point in their lives. While you may think of anger as something that negatively affects your life and relationships, it’s important to remember that there are benefits to being angry in certain situations. When you have control over your anger and it isn’t controlling you, that’s when the anger can be healthy and helpful to you and those around you. You just need to make sure that you don’t let your emotions get out of hand, so here are 5 ways to do that when dealing with feelings of anger in your life.

1 – What is Anger?
Anger is an emotion that is felt when something violates your expectations. The intensity of the anger depends on how much the expectation was violated. Anger can be a natural and healthy response, but it can also be destructive if not handled properly.

2 – Types of Anger
Anger is a normal, healthy response to feeling threatened, frustrated, or upset. There are two types of anger: uncontrolled and controlled. Uncontrolled anger is the type where you can’t control the emotions that come with it and usually leads to aggressive behavior.

3 – What Does This Look Like?
The first thing you should do when you’re feeling angry is take a deep breath. Taking a deep breath is an excellent way of calming down, and it forces you to focus on your breathing instead of whatever it was that made you mad. Take as many breaths as needed until you feel like the anger has subsided. If the anger continues or worsens, then another option may be to try counting backwards from twenty by ones, or find some other distraction that will make you forget about what made you mad.

4 – Why Do We Get Angry?
There are many reasons why people get angry. Sometimes it can be a sign that something needs to change, and you need someone on your side. Other times, anger is a way for us to release stress and frustration. And sometimes, anger can be an outlet when we feel helpless or powerless.

5 – Where Does Anger Come From?
Anger is a natural emotion that can arise from many different things. Sometimes it is a response to the way you are feeling or how you are being treated. Other times, anger can be caused by something you witness, such as someone being hurt or mistreated. In some cases, anger may result from certain bodily sensations, such as hunger or fatigue.
Sometimes when people get angry, they don’t have control over their actions and words. This is called unhealthy anger.

6 – Managing Our Thoughts
One of the most important aspects of self-control is managing our thoughts. For example, what goes through your mind when you don’t get what you want? Are you thinking about how unfair the situation is, or how that person didn’t know how much this would mean to you? Instead, try focusing on all the other things that are going well in your life and be grateful for them.

7 – Managing Our Emotions
A lot of people believe that all anger is bad. In a sense, this can be true. When someone does not know how to manage their anger and it gets out of control, it can lead them down a path of destructive behavior. However, when you are able to maintain control over your emotions, then being angry will not cause any harm. The key is learning how to manage your anger so that you can express it without harming yourself or others.

8 – Practicing Self-Care
Practicing self-care can be difficult, but it is essential. Self-care is about making the time for yourself and your needs. Sometimes this means doing something as simple as reading a book or taking a bath. Other times, self-care may mean going on vacation or seeking professional help. The key is recognizing when you need to take some time for yourself, and then actually making that happen.

9 – Finding Support
Find a group of people who share your situation and be honest with them about how you feel. The best way to do this is by finding an online support group or local therapy group.

10 – Dealing with an Irrational Person
If you have an irrational person, the best thing to do is try and avoid this person. If you must engage with them, be sure to keep it as short as possible and do not get into any kind of debate. Rational people can see when someone is being irrational or unreasonable, so the last thing you want to do is give them more fuel for their fire. It takes a lot of patience and understanding with irrational people but they will eventually come around if they know that you are there for them.
