If You’re Not Making Changes, You’re Not Going to See Any

Don’t expect to see a Change if you are not willing to Make One

Have you ever noticed that you make all these excuses to keep from doing the things you should be doing? You can’t lose weight because you don’t have time or money. You can’t quit smoking because it calms your nerves, and without cigarettes, you get too worked up. You can’t go back to school to finish your degree because of all the expenses and difficulties of relocating. These are all excuses we make in order to avoid making the changes in our lives that we know we should be making…the changes that could help us achieve our goals and live better, happier lives.

Why change is important
Change is a necessary part of life and it is important to make changes in order for your life to progress. Change can be scary at first but it allows you the opportunity to become someone new. And while change isn’t always easy, it’s worth it if you are seeing changes in your life like being more productive or happier.
1) While change isn’t always easy, it’s worth it if you are seeing changes in your life like being more productive or happier.
2) Change forces us out of our comfort zone which pushes us to grow as individuals and as a people.
3) If we aren’t changing anything then we’re not growing and that means that nothing is happening or that things are getting worse.

How change can be difficult
Change can be difficult. It can take a toll on your mind and body. But if you’re not making changes, you’re not going to see any change in your life. The first step is admitting that you need change and understanding why.

Overcoming the fear of change
Everyone has a fear of change. The thing is that the only way you can get what you want in life is if you are willing to make changes. So if you are not making any changes and waiting for things to happen for you, then don’t expect them to change.
The best way to overcome your fear of change is by taking baby steps. Start with something small and do it until it becomes easier. Once that starts happening then take on another small challenge and keep building your courage from there. What helps me overcome my fear of change is focusing on what I have accomplished so far and how much farther I am going as opposed to dwelling on all the things I have yet to do or might not be able to do because of my fear of change.

The benefits of change
Change can be an uncomfortable process. It feels like we are going against the grain and doing something that we may not understand. On the other hand, if you are not making changes then you are never going to see any change. The key is finding a balance between being mindful of what has worked in the past and being courageous enough to try new things so that progress can happen.

Making the decision to change
To truly make changes in your life you have to be willing to take risks and make sacrifices. There is no point in making a change if you are not willing to put in the time and effort that it takes. It’s not going to just happen by itself. Change can be hard but it will also be rewarding.
